While I do not believe that this was an awful movie, it is certainly not a great movie nor is it anywhere close to being Oscar worthy in a lot of senses. I believe that there were some redeeming qualities to it such as the visuals as well as the score for the movie. However, the plot as a whole was quite disappointing. I managed to figure out what was going on pretty quickly which just made me sad. I believe that Kenneth Branagh did his best with trying to convey his twist on the book. However, I do agree that it was unnecessary to be political and socially justified. I always loved Branagh as Poirot, but this portrayal was just not it for me. Decent film as a whole, but NOT horrible
