I just walked out of the movie hall and what a hard-hitting movie. When Mary Kom won for India, we remember that she is from India otherwise I have seen instances where people from other parts of India are treated unfairly. It was a subject never touched by Bollywood before. There are so many dialogues that force you to think. Everyone has acted to the T. Music takes the story forward and is very much part of it unlike forced in lot of Bollywood movies.

i watched the movie today. I know movie did not well at the box office as Stree but i must say the concept is genuine, new, and not a typical remake of any Hollywood movie. It highlights the very much prevalent societal issues that have marred our society. Considering i have seen all these depicted in my extended family - be it forced marriage, domestic abuse, or girls just want to get married because they do not know what else to do. I really admire courage of makers not to go through the route of making the movie a typical rom-com. It is a family comedy and gives a strong social message of loving oneself even with flaws, women cannot be forced into marriage without their consent, and they can fend for themselves & do not always need men to provide them with security. I should have watched it in theaters.
