As a huge fan of the All Creatures books and of the original BBC series, I have to say that the current season (2025) of All Creatures is by far the worst ever. The charm of the original series was the variety of animals and the numerous quirky farmers involved in the series. The current series is almost totally consumed by Siegfried, Tristan, James, Helen and the baby and, of course, Mrs. Hall. In the books Mrs. Hall was barely mentioned. In the original series she had a role but a rather minor (but amusing) one. She was also age-appropriate whereas the current Mrs. Hall is too young. The 'stories' in large measure are either not from the books at all (invented) or twisted and deranged from the originals and the books. Just look at Carmody in the original vs. the new one. The two are unrecognizable. The ONLY positive is that Mrs. Pumphrey is more believable in the new series - not as cartoonish.
