I'd consider myself pretty politically neutral, I don't really have opinions on any of the more political topics this movie handles. None of the more controversial talks came off as preachy to me, because it's accurate to what a real demon might say, whether you believe in them or not. People can grasp the concept of a demon in a movie, but I guess some can't stand to see it conceptualized accurately. Like it's said in the movie - demons (whether you believe in them or not) are theological as well, and they abide by the same rules and laws of what's good and what's bad that the Bible does, except the good and bad are flipped with demons. That being said, I can understand arguments of how the movie is 80% dialogue and how some of the acting could be better, but I personally didn't mind it. Watching this movie didn't make me think 'oh my god! that's literally society today!' like it did for most people. I don't really care. But I still had fun with this movie, and I think that's proof for everyone claiming this movie is preachy hogwash to have a little fun. Again, coming from the perspective of someone who isn't politically charged in any way.
