All I can say is Bravo Baz Lurhmann. I was so moved by the respect shown to Elvis himself, and also the black communities and individuals which so heavily inspired him. The cinematography was absolutely impeccable and very creatively done. As a massive fan of Elvis I could see how deeply every single scene/direction was thought through, showing an attention to detail I haven’t enjoyed for a while. This movie was a true piece of art, from the expertly composed soundscape which blended modern and original music, to the care shown by the actors and every professional involved. Bravo. I hope this film gets the critical acclaim it deserves.
