My new favorite movie. Michelle Yeoh is a super star! The emotional arch and complexity is nothing short of brilliant. As a mother of a daughter at the same stage in life as Joy, I connected on a very deep level with the story and the very well developed characters. This is a phenomenal story.

Poor writing, poor directing, zero character development, gratuitous violence and gore, and insulting/shameless minority/LGBTQ+ baiting. I felt like my intelligence was being insulted and my time wasted 😢
