I was ready to love this movie. Controversy, horror, dark humour and a self-aware indie studio seem like a perfect cocktail for my own tastes. Sadly though, the whole experience fell flat. The jokes were rarely funny, the shocking moments didn't hit home most of the time, and the whole story feels like an incoherent mess. I love trashy films and this one is intentionally trashy, but a lack of charm, vision and a tonedeaf sense of comedy keep it from being memorable. Despite my best efforts, the only value I found in this entire experience was the visual style and Lyndsey Craine's acting as well as some of the supporting actors.
