I think it is the best so far. It is long, but it IS a cold case covering 40 years. I love RGs style of writing. The whole Cormoran Robin thing could die as far as I'm concerned. It's obviously a hook to sucker idiots to buy books they wouldn't otherwise read. And keep sales going. Always find interesting things in the books once you get past that guff.

Enjoyed this one as well. If I rank it out of the 5 so far it would probably be # 5 and not really quite sure why. The opening with the wedding was downright annoying. Why RG married them for them to then divorce is beyond me, but I'm assuming she has a reason. I suspect it's to keep the $$$ rolling in with the suckers hooked on the romance. The plot detective plot was good with some interesting twists. And nice to learn a bit more about the agency folk

I actually read this one third out of the series and I had seen a couple of the shows. But I loved it. Never been a Harry Potter fan but I think RG is a great mystery / thriller writer. Her writing draws you right in, getting you involved deeply with the characters (some people get a bit too deeply involved). And having been a victim of domestic abuse, I identified pretty quickly with what Matthew was doing and how accurately RG depicted it. I know some people complain about the length of the books and sub-plots but I enjoy them and find them interesting. May I suggest fast forwarding? To each their own.
