First, I give 5 stars to the cast especially Margot Robbie when she smiled the first time to say Hi to other Barbies I immediately remember the sad face she had in the movie Mary Queen of Scots. I mean, her smile will always be best in roles that could make people guilty or cry. I mean her smile is not fit for a Barbie in a way that it's very happy and playful to kids there's always a touch of seriousness and sorrow but still to me she nailed it. Also, it is risky to play such roles like this.
Before I watched this movie. I heard so many negative things. So, I tried my best to watch it free from any shape or form of judgment. When they started talking about patriarchy somehow I felt like "Oh I think I know where it's taking us.." I almost gave up on that part but I said okay let's give it a chance. So, I continued watching until the last part.
I don't know but you'll but whether there's an intention or not to remind or promote hate against men or patriarchy or LGBTQ or awaken the rage of women due to its long history of oppression in the past or whatsoever YOU failed. Somehow there's a good lesson to take from this both emotional and spiritual.
At the end of this movie, It highlights the fact that it's okay to be single and that women just need to help men find their true masculinity in them without having to use women or needing Barbie.
I like how it highlights the fact that to be good you have to be courageous and strategic most especially when you want others to see the good or to change for the better.
Above all, I hope they make another movie to continue the story. Since Barbie met the creator and that creator inspired her so much it then takes us to the beauty of spiritual religious life. The end is when Barbie went to a gynecologist may it be a monastery wanting a search in. That would be fun!
For now, the monasteries of the Catholic church are deserted. May this Barbie encourage many women around the world to seek their true selves if ever they feel like they are okay without Ken or want to discover more in life so long as there is no hate for Ken that this movie is good. Hahahaha
Let's stop being hyper-critical, you guys! I just can't wait for a Barbie who wants a religious life and be with its creator in the real world.
