I wanted so badly to like this game because it has what everyone else has mentioned as "the bones of a good game", but with so many glaring issues I cant believe anyone has actually agreed to rate this game higher than a 3 star max. Where to begin? I'm playing the PS5 version of the game so experiences may differ for PC players who are more than likely getting a better version of this game that those playing on other platforms. List as follows: • The game regularly crashes. I don't mean like every few days. I don't mean once a day. I mean almost within minutes of each time booting up the game. I played for maybe 3 hours once and the game crashed 5 times in that timeframe. • The search bar function on PS5 version doesn't work in the Civilopedia. You can press triangle to type in a word/term but past that there is no way to "enter". Basic things you learn in UI/UX design, you know? • On that UI...I wont beat a dead horse but the UI is God awful. Sometimes it feels like pulling teeth to read things in this 2pt font, and on top of that, the UI hardly ever explains what certain things do or how they function in the game. Good luck overbuilding my friends. • Hardly anyone is talking about the UX of the game which is just as bad as the UI in my opinion. The lagging scroll from one side of the map to the other. Not being able to zoom in when focused on a city detail screen. The lack of any information regarding Traders. So much to list here. I Highly recommend not buying this game at all. You'll have more fun and less stress playing CIV 6 honestly.
