The bad guy of the movie comes more of as a psychopathic clown than an evil genius. The damsel in distress/scientist (Olivia Munn) rather spew pseudoscience and does unlogical bimbo behaviours than act her role. The main hero knows exactly what to do and what he fights right from the start of the movie. The support characters to the hero are more clowns than support characters, trying to make the movie into a comedy. The predator goes from a interplanetary hunter to super soldier and scientist all in one and can't be stopped, except by its own stupidity.
