Stephen Macknik

I liked the first season except for the silly episodes about Spock’s love life and the crew turning into characters from a medieval court. The second season’s first episode just came out and it is ***slow***. Had to watch it over two days because I could stay awake through the whole episode. A fine story that is a bit of a bore to watch due to very poor pacing by the director. Too many moments where we the audience are supposed to glean some sort of deep perspective when time slows down, or when the characters make draw-out “knowing” looks at each other. Not good. I hope the creators will focus on consistency in the storylines and attention towards keeping things moving.
