Acting was mid, the plot is fine until the finale.
**SPOILERS**
If the VKs were going to freeze when they opened the book and get detention, it doesn't make sense that they would've been able to be at the dance to prank Bridget. This also doesn't explain Bridget's later dislike/hatred of Auradon, or her apparent preference for the villains (her distain when saying "Another villain's gone soft").
What would've been a better ending would've been a falling out between Ella and Bridget at Castlecoming over Ella turning down Charming and promising to go with Bridget and then spending the whole night with him (not a fight over Charming, two besties fighting over a man is so overdone), leaving Bridget alone and sad on a night she was looking forward to spending with her bestie.
Maybe she would also actually befriend the villains at Castlecoming with them being the ones to support her and telling her the phrase "love ain't it" that she touts to Red later in life.
So much more could've been done.
