Tourist History, the debut album from Two Door Cinema Club, is personally one of the best indie rock albums, let alone albums I have ever had the pleasure to hear. The genius and energetic bass lines, catchy and jangly guitar riffs, and the contagious, but meaningful lyrics all written by this trio create iconic and memorable songs that are spectacular. Their trademark digital drums and synths give Tourist History a unique and perfect electronic quality which is pulled off very well; this band is also so fun and energetic when live and with their studio albums. With the great production (from producer and co-mixer Eliot James and more co-mixing by Grammy award winning Philippe Zdar, behind the mixing of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix) and execution of this album, I trust that their upcoming songs and albums will have potential to be great as well.
