I got this on Cassette the week is was released when I was 15. I was in a very different place at the time. We went from living very comfortably in a nice house with a pool in a nice community, to the ghetto, literally. And my parents got divorced as well. This album helped me deal with depression and anxiety like no other. I would put it on my ghetto blaster put on my headphones at night laying in my “room” (a shed on the side of a travel trailer) and drift off to higher plains. It is a phenomenal musical masterpiece that I still listen to regularly today, I still have my OG cassette and later got it the CD BOX. Steve Vai’s guitar solo on “Ease” is probably the best solo ever recorded. If you haven’t listened to this, do yourself a favor and check it out it will open new possibilities for your musical journey. Let me start by saying ia am a Sopranoite I have watched the entire Sopranos series more that 10 times easily, so I know the characters and their back storylines and histories. I was excited about this and after viewing it last night I am hopeful that another one will come out that focus' on the Sopranos story exclusively. I'm going to give spoilers or plot lines but having said that this movie left me empty inside , it did not focus on the Sopranos like it should have. Half of the movie is about someone and situations not even mentioned in the series at all so it was just a new storyline with new characters that did nothing for the Sopranos backstory, characters or folklore. The bright spot was Michael Gandolfini what a talented young man , I look forward to seeing him more. Worth watching but disappointing.
