The highlight of this was Lorraine Asbournes acting, as always she's gritty and authentic in her roles. I kept expecting the daughter to be tough like her mum, but no, she was like a wet fish grappling with a strong role. Coming from the people who did Happy Valley, the young policewoman was a pretty weak link, and unbelievable as a 7 months pregnant woman. Bad casting in what could have been a stellar show which contained a lot of good veteran Northern actors. A good premise which failed to deliver.

As others have said this would make perfect Sunday evening viewing. Cosy viewing with an ensemble cast who gel perfectly. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole series.
