I started watching this show out of pure curiosity (and because I grew up watching the animated Teen Titans show). The first 2 seasons I thought were good, although I felt as if they were holding back on some of the character's development - Beast Boy/Gar in particular. That being said, the third season I think has done far better so it's worth getting through. Personally, I think the DC shows fare better than the DC's movies so you don't have to worry about having a difficult time engaging with the stories, especially this series with it's more harsh and violent actions that you wouldn't get with an average super hero production.
