Acting, direction and cast to perfection. Everybody praises Meena Kumari and she definitely deserves the praise, but guru duty and waheda Rehman also are a perfection in themselves. Add to this the background music and cinematography and this is probably one of the finest movies ever made.The climax leaves you stick in the era of the film and you realise that you have to now come out of the world of the film

Superb acting by Manoj bajpaye to the extent that it becomes painful to watch the story after sometime. Such is the realism and performance by the protagonist and antagonist that you will never remember any other police officer story as well as you remember this one. it leaves such an indelible stamp on your brain that probably I compare all of manojs performances including the one in gangs of wasseypur with this gold standard
