I am two episodes in and I want to like the series. That said, there are some dumb plot points. When the French SWAT goes to kick in the door at the terrorist home, I would imagine they would have a teams that make sure people leave from alternate exits and don’t jump use alternate escapes. Meaning, there would be snipers on all windows and entry and exit points and the police would have streets sealed off. I also don’t think they would just have people lined up in the halls ready to be shot and not be prepared for a potential bomber - especially after the coordination of their offensive from the first episode. That said, I find it enjoyable and entertaining. I read most of the books and liked the mind of Jack Ryan. I hope they keep that front and center as Harrison Ford did a great job with that part of the character in the movies.
