We came in on time and spent the next 24 minutes watching trailers of similarly violent, chaotic, over the top threats to life and limb and NOISE. I was exhausted by the time the movie started. The fight scenes were inventive but it seemed to take a lot of bullets after karate to kill his attackers. The addition of attack dogs in a fight was interesting though it seemed they were not really needed as John had no problem taking on an army and stopping someone from taking him from behind. It seems to me that this would appeal to folks who are into sado-masochism - the tatoos, piercings and jewelry and a no big deal attitude to killing somebody. And the people who helped John survive reminded him they were in for painful repercussions and likely death. We got to see the truth of this and that the helpers survived and defied. Fair rating.
