Someone else on here used the word "surprising!" Which I too thought encapsulated my experience with this little "gem" too.. Definitely a very small budget, "indie" feel to it, with much of the soundtrack being literally performed by the actual cast themselves, it is a special treat being allowed to sit-in on these intimate performances with such honest workers. And that is also how much of this movie as a whole kind of feels: like a "special treat--" like getting to watch your favorite Christmas morning (putting aside the fact that morning just so happens to be occurring within the deepest recesses of the pits of Hell) over and over again. Great film.
