This was the perfect ride that I didn’t know I needed. I am absolutely in love with this show, and I’ve already been telling so many of my friends about Tribes of Europa. Yes, how things get started is like any other dark adventure tale, but I began watching it for the “How”, not the “why”. I wanted to see how they were going to illustrate everyone’s journey. Will it be eye-popping, or will it just be another cliche after cliche? I will say this though, everyone’s start is not unique. But the things they go through? It’s attention grabbing. I watch for a character’s inner turmoil, I watch for a character’s inner growth over the turmoils they must go through. And I watch to see which decision they will make. So far, I’m waiting to be impressed by the decisions they make. I haven’t been surprised yet. Hopefully, they’ll start surpassing my expectations. Cinematography is good, the story telling is good, the costuming is good, and the graphics are good. It gets 4 stars only because the characters have yet to surprise me in their decisions and actions. It feels like they’re playing it safe still, and not letting these characters be different from what we’ve already seen over and over again.
