It started off with such a great concept and had the potential to really be a true battle with lex pulling the strings and using Superman's mom to square off the two superheroes and yet it went down to ridiculously stupid path to mindlessly lead to have a flight scene that culminated with an even more ridiculous ending and then kill off a character that you failed to adequately build a reputation for in the first place. Pretty sad how people can spend hundreds of millions of dollars and and waste some high quality actors yet not give any thought process to a coherent storyline these days but just rely on trying to outdark the next superhero film

Tremendously funny program from start to finish...very easily could have continued on for more had this lead decided to avoid typecasting and pursue other avenues and television shows. Hyancyth is brilliantly portrayed by DAme Patricia Routledge but the supporting cast is magnificent all the way around. Writers kept coming up with new ideas & new wrinkles to reoccurring jokes (like the dog in the sister's car). On par with the greatest British comedies ever like The Best of Bean and Are you Being Served.
