Watched this amazing piece of art a couple of days back and I can't really shake it off me. The storyline, story telling, performances, music and two amazing soulful, but heart wrenching songs - all of these are absolutely top-notch.
The sensitivity and subtleness with which myriad of problems, that are commonplace in India, are portrayed deserves special mention. The reality of the caste system & Bureaucracy and inequality, prejudice & contempt that it creates is depicted beautifully and so honestly.
What a great ensemble of wonderfully talented actors and legends. Pankaj Kapur, Virendra Saxena, Rajkumar, Ashutosh Rana, Bhumi, Kritika, Aditya, Dia Mirza, Sushil, actor who played the photo journalist - all did justice to their role. Special shout out to Pankaj Sir, Raj and Ashutosh sir for their astonishing performances.
Anubhav Sinha has created a substantial piece of art that needs to be celebrated and preserved as a truthful reminder of our society and the tragedy that Covid brought upon huge immigrant population in India.
