A Christian “horror” movie written by conservatives. I’m assuming this is meant to be spreading the truth and enlightening liberals through Christian propaganda. However, it does so by taking the public’s eye off of God and placing it onto the word of the devil.
The film is hypocritical and shows that there is no salvation for the sinner (or even the “innocent”). And while I agree with a few of the talking points, the movie portrays that the real evil is not the hate and violence that society (or I guess, the left-wing) is aiming to destroy. Instead, the demon is given an exaggerated amount of power while he preaches on abortion, assisted suicide, child labor, and slavery. So in essence, the truth comes from the mouth of the devil? As if he has any wish to show us what actually condemns God’s children.
Not sure if this is a terrible “gotcha” moment where the demon has slipped up and given humanity what it needs to fight “his master” or not. Especially since the demon continues to torment the main character up until the last second of the movie. The movie does an amazing job of mocking Christianity. God is present for a split second and still the devil gets the last laugh...
As a Catholic who is faithful and obedient to my God and His Son, this film has failed immensely. At the end of the day, God’s mercy, love, and power is represented as weak in comparison to the demonic entity. The message? Be a perfect Christian or you at the mercy of the devil, the Lord will not be able to save you.
You are God’s children, His love is stronger than the devil’s hate. He is present in everything that you do and He loves you despite your sins or flaws. There is a chance of salvation for everyone. Thank you.
