I wish I'd read some reviews before buying this book. I found it incredibly dull on many levels. Too many long winded descriptions of surroundings. Repetitive phrases - Elin was a very sweaty woman, often having "beads of sweat" dripping/running down various parts of her body. The writing style seemed very clumsy and immature at times. I don't like giving up on a book, so I read til the end. But I read the last 6 chapters feeling very irritated, wanting to get it over with so I could start on a new book. I won't be reading this author again ... sorry
