Such a shame that this film was so badly marketed on release. I was put off watching it for years due to the bad reviews. It's a great teen movie looking at female friendships and the difficulties teenage girls face navigating the world. There are hints of Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Jennifer's pithy dialogue. Don't be put off by the reviews - judge it on its own merits. If it was released now I think it would be received completely differently.

Feels so mean spirited. 'Can't afford to buy a house? Tired of wasting your money on rent?' Come on this show and work yourself to death trying/failing to make a profit refurbishing a squat with a pitiful budget! They basically never make enough for a decent contribution to a deposit, through no fault of their own. Contestants are expected to provide free labour, usually alongside full time jobs. They are 100% set up to fail. No wonder the contestants quit so often.
