*Spoilers Ahead*
The book fell short for me. Besides the political agenda the book started pushing around chapter 5, they built up this whole legal case for 300 pages and it wrapped it up very abruptly in a page. Maya, the person responsible for the crime comes forward and admits what she did and suddenly the prosecutors are over it. I guess involuntary manslaughter/ lying under oath suddenly doesn’t matter. Also the book was only from Lily and Olivia’s perspectives why wouldn’t you throw in a chapter two from Asher’s POV, the one who is on trial for a murder and the guy who was in the relationship.
