I don't like this show at all. The intended jokes are overdone. I just can't relate. Maybe because I'm a man. Haha!

I don't understand those people who think the police investigation doesn't fit into the story. It's an integral part of the plotline. I feel that some people just like to skip through parts they feel are slow. This leads to them not appreciating the entire breadth and depth of this wonderful show. Some viewers think this show is about mothers putting pressure on their children to excel in their studies. Well, it's partly about that but even more, it's about mothers who sacrifice everything to bring their children to academic excellence and the extent they are willing to go to and also questions the mothers' past history that led to their present actions. This drama series is not just highly entertaining, it's also a deep social study which many do not seem to appreciate. There's also a partially veiled comparison between a failed, one-sided sismance relationship that led to tragedy and another successful sismance that resulted in forgiveness and restoration.

To me, it's one of the very best K-dramas I have seen. The plot is amazing. The relationships are wonderful and heartwarming. The pacing, a real weakness in many K-dramas, is really good. Makes you appreciate relationships, friendship, support and the struggles in life. And the wonderful ballad, Condolence, placed strategically at tender scenes, really evokes emotions.

Of course, they have to make the evil, bigoted child rapist the devoted Christian. That's what liberalism loves. And mind you, that's in the name of tolerance.

I think the plot and the way it is presented in the series are amazingly good but the entire show is really depressing in every way. All the main characters and even some of the side characters live really depressing lives. I admire the show but I don't find such pain enjoyable.
