I enjoyed it. I'm not even a major fan of the Boba Fett character, but this first episode got me into him in a way I didn't expect. First episode did a lot to set-up a lot of questions and I love seeing Boba rebuilding the underworld with a new philosophy. It also really puts into perspective how much he had been through and what an absolute tank he is to have survived all of that.
I see a fair number of negative reviews with really ridiculous "points" against the episode. After reading a bunch of them, I haven't seen a single valid point. A bunch of them are that he "looks old" and that he wasn't badass enough for their liking. Bruh, he battled a Jedi, had his jetpack engine explode on his back, got eaten by a Sarlaac, ripped through its entrails to get free, then crawled his way up through who knows how much sand, was left out in the middle of the desert with no water half conscious, got all of his equipment robbed, then was taken on a death march dragged by a bantha across the dune sea, then was beaten within an inch of his life while tied up and likely on the verge of death from dehydration. Dude was on the verge of death for who knows how long and these kids are whining that he doesn't look 20 years old afterwards. The fact that he did the things he did is nothing short of remarkable, but these kids want the protagonist to be Galen Marek or Rey tier in order to enjoy them.
Half of these whiners also probably never indulged any content related to Boba Fett in the old Expanded Universe, so they have no idea how ridiculous they sound. People seem to think Boba Fett is supposed to be evil; he's not and never was. If you think he is, you don't know the character; you're just looking for something to whine about.
Go watch it yourself; don't listen to these reviews. Star Wars fans are weird. These are likely the same clowns who hated Ahsoka and Ezra, and screamed bloody murder about that too.
