This game is awesome. The combat is fast, and fluid. The level design is top notch with paths circling back to one another creating short cuts to previously visited locations. The weapon and armor variety is stellar and each feel unique. I had a lot of fun experimenting with each one. The way you obtain weapons/armor is unique and fun. The game has vibrant colors and detailed locations. My only complaint is the so-so story which is just there to give you a reason to kill badguys, but it's serviceable. The surge 2 has been greatly improved over it's predecessor and is a must buy if you're looking to scratch that Soulsborne itch or just love action/adventure games.

It's a game with swords and stuff, and it's pretty neat. It has vampy vamps and many weapons of the stabby stab variety. It's like dark souls but not dark souls. Much good, very game.
