I could not wait to finish this "book". Nothing makes sense, from start to finish. It is so enragedly bad that only a sense of morbid curiosity could led me to push to the end. The characters plans, motivations and actions make absolutely no sense. Some passages are surreal and mind boggling.
It did not surprise me when I discovered that many literature critics, including H.P. Lovecraft, list this as one of the worst horror novels ever written.
Only buy it if you're a hardcore Stoker fan and feel absolutely compelled to own all of his novels. Otherwise, this doesn't even qualify as "so bad it's good", it's plain sad and boring.
