I have always loved the idea of Mulan and remember enjoying the animated version, though not as much of some of the other classics: Princess Mononoke, Froze, Moana, Anastasia or Tangled, This live-action version leaves you wanting even more. I was rooting for it before release but when the trailer dropped, I was left slightly disappointed. The film doesn't improve on the trailer much. Sad to see such a great story of hope and empowerment not finding its right place in hall of fame. Hopefully, the full potential of Mulan will be realized on big screen one day.
