The movie is funny..it’s actually great to watch alone. However, being that I’ve read all of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson book series..the movie is far off track in terms of characters physical descriptions, monsters, setting, plot and information. The prophecy is supposed to be for a demigod of the big three reaching at the age of 16...that wouldn’t have been hard to keep in long with the book..also the lead Percy could have had some alterations with darker hair (black) and greener eyes (contacts).. I’m not racist but Grover was not supposed to be black..but tbh I like the movie Grover a lot too. He’s actually quite different from the one described in the book. The books are indeed better to me, as I ones own imagination will always win and appeal more to an individual. The Princess Andromeda was supposed to be a Cruise Ship and not a yacht. Chris Rodriguez was not even supposed to be active in this film just yet. And Grover has his own individual quest to find Pan..he was kidnapped by the Cyclopes himself not by demigods...like I said the movie is funny and witty and the CGI was good. However ALL IN ALL THE BOOK IS BETTER!
