Another boring, plodding movie where the "build up" lasts literally 80 of the 90 minute runtime. The ending is also predictable and tries way too hard to be shocking, ending up farcical and silly.
It seems like horror movies these days are all following some cookie cutter formula trying to emulate The Ring, or The Blair Witch Project, but failing miserably due to no actual scary or disturbing events happening. I don't know if these studios just don't have the budget for effects or monsters, or if they really think people want to watch ten minute long scenes of violins and shaking cameras, but the latter is no substitute for the former.
Bottom line? Skip it. Watch something from twenty (or thirty) years ago that was actually written and produced well.
