I'm overall incredibly disappointed with this book. The first 4 to me were 5/5, incredible books with excellent character development and world-building. This book made all of it feel inconsequential. The heavy-handedness with the direct interference of Orholam (God) entirely ruined all the stakes. I will not get into details so I do not spoil the book for others, but there were some surprises/reversals that I saw coming from a mile away because the stakes completely dissipated. The endings for several of the characters felt undeserved. 2/5, if I reread the series, I will skip this book entirely.
