Its okay to not be okay
Review by suniska roy Chowdhury
I am a psychology student in grade 11 and I want to pursue psychology for further studies as of now. when I heard about its okay to not be okay streaming, it made me want to watch it and as each episode airs, I become more and more curious about the next one. The story has three main characters , a children’s book author with anti social personality disorder-ku mun young[ seo ye ji]. A caregiver at a psychiatry hospital moon gang tae[kim soo hyun] and his autistic brother moon sang tae[oh Jung se]. As of now, 6 episodes have released, excitedly waiting for the next one. one of the things I figured out is that ku mun young and moon gang tae used to like each other when they were young but due to some circumstances [I will put my money on ku man young’s mother being the reason] ku mun young makes moon gang tae drift apart from her. Now, fast forward to the present, moon gang tae works as a care giver and takes full care of his autistic brother ever since their mother died [which I believe is a murder case but who knows]. Moon gang tae and his brother keep on moving houses every single year reason being some butterfly following moon sang tae which I believe is related to some past trauma he suffered from when their mother died. Autistic patients tend to have a high risk of suffering from PTSD and they can also hallucinate [quite common in adult autistic patients] so maybe sang gang tae got confused or maybe he himself interchanged something he is scared of with the butterfly. Just my theory. Meanwhile, ku mun young becomes a famous children’s book author. One ku mun young and moon gang tae cross paths once again after years. Following up due to certain events they are kind of living together at the cursed castle. Episode 6 has left me awestruck and I love the chemistry between Kim soo hyun and seo ye ji. Loving this drama and waiting for the next episode. I would highly recommend it . Gives good knowledge about mental health and how it affects not only the person suffering from it but also the people around them. :}
