I have been a Battlefield fan all of my life. I started with the origional BF2 and played every game since. I play games on a competitive level and feel that I have a very good understanding when it comes to judging a game.
Battlefield 2042 started with a terrible launch that it will never fully recover from. They have made quality of life changes, and fixed some of the most major bugs, and it is possible to have fun playing this game due to its arcady feel.
The major issue with the game, something that will not change, its the people that are developing it. Its clear and easy to see that they have a huge lack in game knowledge and whenever they look to make a change they are just looking at data charts; specifically pick rates on weapons, operators, and vehicles. This is the complete wrong approach to fixing any game. They need to have competent game testers that give unbiased and true judgements on the quality of changes, nerfs, buffs and fixes.
Don't purchase this game unless you like to casually play fps games.
