This 1971 movie reflects the challenges and power struggles of a logging family in Oregon and was set in and around the Yaquina River and Newport area.
I thought that the acting was exceptionally well done and nothing less than I would have expected from these four great actors. The raw beauty of the Oregon landscape was something to behold. Great directing from Paul Newman and Henry Mancini really delivered with his musical score. I would see this movie again.
