this book reveals again why Black American's cannot "just get over the past".The horror that has never been completely dealt with by white's,is the key to maybe facing the shame and admonition that this country has no real "Glory" other than murder,thievery,and smugness! Thanks to Budiansky for picking this festering scab,off of our national skin and may the blood of our Black brothers and sisters be washed clean to heal,and left to finally fully, and wholly be! I believe this work should be required reading in this country's high school's as a start,(as well as "Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee"). White American's must face the evils of history their ancestor's carried into this world,and truly realize change for your fellow man so, they may get up from under your Knee.
