I won't get into a lengthy analysis of the movie here, as so many others have done much more eloquently. I simply am left wondering how many of these children have been growing up to be members of Hamas? How much more have they suffered during the past ten years and how much has hate and the desire for revenge grown in their hearts and minds during that time? I imagine the worst case scenario - could some of those boys have taken part in the massacre on Oct.7th? I would love to know where those children are now, today, in January 2024, while the war rages on and more horrific stories are being written by the tens of thousands of surviving children. I hope they are alive and not consumed by fear and hate. But who am I to blame them if they were.
