Fated Despair

I saw The Bikeriders through this. Slow and occasionally annoying with the MC's monologuing but a surprisingly enjoyable film overall due to the rest of the characters and plot developments. Unexpectedly, a decent watch. Fly me to the Moon was the second screening out of this. That was incredibly plain and boring. The female lead had practically everything in the palm of her hand. Barely any stakes worth caring about. Not worth the watch. 3rd screening up next. Hopefully it'll be a good one this time otherwise, I might've witnessed an outlier with The Bikeriders. UPDATE: 3rd movie was another surprisingly great film. A sci-fi thriller called Slingshot. Easily one of the better movies I've seen this year due to the psychological and hallucinatory elements. Honestly, I'm impressed with the choice of ending. 2/3 solid movies. It really is a random gambit but seeing a movie that you didn't expect to be good or in Slingshot's case, even great is a pleasant and refreshing experience. It's nice to be surprised every so often which is why I'll still be sticking with this premiere program after all.
