That a novelist could bring out such a rich and readable novel infused with exquisite prose style without following conventional components viz., plot, shifting settings spanning continents, peopled with colorful characters, and the compelling denouement etc.., Jhumpa ' pen is a. magic wand conjuring a sort of magical element in real life. The flow of the novel is regal and majestic with emotions and experiences of human life.
