Edit: So at first this show was not as good as the original. There are some stupid things such as the drive from NYC to Austin where the terrain is clearly wrong (I’ve traveled from Wisconsin to Austin several times and there are no mountains), and some of the characters are sort of exaggerated stereotypes (keep it weird). But for all those complaining about the “wokeness” of the series, remember that 9-1-1 has much of the same issues. I think the biggest fault is that it’s filmed in LA and tries to pass off as Austin. Liv Tyler’s acting is horrible too. For its faults, most of the issues are at the beginning of the show, especially true for the pilot episode. As the series progressed it got a lot better. The past few episodes were just as good as 9-1-1. Still it would help if it was actually shot on location.
