the easter eggs are adorable and i enjoyed finding them throughout the movie! it’s a cute idea of how they were celebrating the 100 years of disney. I just really wish that they had put more effort into the actual story instead of just relying on the eggs to carry it. the story was lacking a lot. it starts by immediately revealing the plot of the movie with the evil, narcissistic king that wants to control the kingdom. asha has to save the wishes so the people’s sensitive feelings won’t be hurt since apparently they cannot cope with anything. it was almost painful to watch them say “i’m so sad” when they realized life is life and humans can’t fly. i get that it’s supposed to be a kids movie but it’s so brain dead😭 i think that they should’ve maybe took the route of how you can’t just rely on someone or something to grant your wishes, but that you have to pursue them yourself. also, the songs are awful. however wrote those lyrics needs to be fired right now.
