I love this book! All these great stories of strong, independent women, spirits, goddesses and witches as told by the talented Kate Hodges. Her views and spins make the their tales a great inspiration and a takeaway on women's politics, their strengths, and their power. Written as tales of each deity or woman, the common thread is their powerful stories. I have my favorites and you'll find yours too. The illustrations are deftly drawn by the wonderful Harriet Lee-Merrion, which actually drew my attention to the book. The stories are a good reflection of women's place in the world today as we are still striving to have our place at the table, to be take seriously and to use our voices to serve all mankind.
