It was good. Batman as a plot device took a backseat in this one. But we've seen so many origin stories so it's ok. A se7en-esque murder mystery with saw like punishments for evil doers, plays out at a riveting pace. There we're surprises and funny moments along the way. It's a dark film so it is not for children but as an adult I had a blast. A ratrod, pieced together trilogy would be (Joker, The Batman, The dark Knight). The stories don't exactly match but they compliment each other and tell a complete arc of dying fighting injustice or living and becoming a villain.

Better than clash of the titans remake. That ain t saying much tho.
