I didn't read the read books, however, the episodes I have watched are awful.

I need to give kudos to the actors who expertly executed the minimal dialogue they were provided. A slice of life, yes, a disturbing secret unveiled, however, toooooo slow. Also, the cinematography was impressive and the ominous feeling of the starkness of the apartment was disturbingly authentic to those old NY buildings. They can be very creepy. Alas, this wasn't a thriller, just a slowly told story of life. cinematography

Terrible! Forced comedic dialogue. I am shocked that Patricia Heaton would take such a poor role. It's so over the top bad.
