I wish I'd read these reviews before watching the film. Would have saved 2 and a half hours of my life ... But felt much longer. Painfully slow The characters never really connect (don't know if this was intentional but it doesn't work on screen) Storylines go off on unessrsary taangents nd by the end of the film it leaves so much unanswered

I love the story line and truly invested in all the characters. My only gripe is that it runs like a soap opera but you have to wait a year for 12 episodes. The show has been running for 4 seasons (2019) and Charmaine has been pregnant for all of them and is apparently still only 5 months gone. At this rate it'll be another 5 seasons ( 5 years ) before her due date and possibly another 10 seasons before Mels baby pops out!!! I'm concerned with Netflix' tendancy to cut shows half way through that the story line is too slow paced for their platform. This show would work so much better if there was an episode every week- like coronation street or something similar.
