This review is not about the album, but about the tour. I attended the "concert" in East Grinstead, on 7 April 2024. I paid £32 to watch video clips and look at photos that were projected on a screen, and listen to Paul Young and his accomplice, a guitarist, reminiscing about the past while constantly namedropping to remind the audience how good he used to be and cracking lame jokes. They also plaid five songs, playing acoustic guitars. It was not great, Mr Young voice seems to have long gone. The whole thing lasted one hour and a half, they also squeezed in a 20-minute break to let us buy Paul Young latest album. The only way to describe this is to call it a scam, as I (like many others) was expecting a proper concert, instead of a pathetic rambling of two aging former musicians.
